Thousands walk backwards to push climate change forward

Around 8,000 protesters walked backwards at King George Square in Brisbane’s CBD on Sunday, August 15, with the rally representing Australia’s politicians attitude to climate change. Organisers of Brisbane’s Walk Against Warming called on the Labor party to make a clear policy in regard to climate change.
Hats Off to star turnout for charity gala

After a two-year hiatus, the Hats Off Brisvegas variety gala returns on August 23 to support HIV/AIDS charity, the Hope Fund. The one-night only spectacular at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) in Brisbane features a line-up of local and international performing artists, including the cast of Mamma Mia and comedic personality Bob Downe.
