Queensland artists hope for $10m creative boost

Many Queensland artists are excited about Labor’s arts policy to invest $10 million into 150 creative projects around Australia. Over the next five years, the funding will also support young and emerging artists and help create new Australian work from all mediums.
Thousands walk backwards to push climate change forward

Around 8,000 protesters walked backwards at King George Square in Brisbane’s CBD on Sunday, August 15, with the rally representing Australia’s politicians attitude to climate change. Organisers of Brisbane’s Walk Against Warming called on the Labor party to make a clear policy in regard to climate change.
