Brisbane teenagers regularly risk serious injury jumping into an abandoned, water-filled quarry at Mt Gravatt East.
Many teens regularly visit the quarry on Pine Mountain Road seeking thrills as they jump off the 10-metre cliffs into the water below.
Sub-Tropic visited the site to investigate.

Maybe just leave the kids alone, they are not risking injury there unless they are being stupid. Most of the kids there just jump in swim around get out and go again, if you go there and watch them they are all being safe and nothing ba is happenin there. I would like to see the council leave these kids alone. How many injurys have been there in the past year. Hmm 0 if im right how about the year before? Oh 0 again. They are being responsible and not harming them selfs and other. They are simply having fun with friends and making new ones. There is a rope there at the lowest point so when you jump in you can easily get back out. Just leave them be.
i agree with that fake name dude, i went there just today, we always make sure its safe before we jump, i mean seriously, we’re not that stupid, we’re just having fun.
But the quarry owners get into heaps of trouble if …. breaks his neck. I can understand why they don’t want anyone in there.
